Random Spotlight: Gracie

I just have a ton of random, cute pictures of Gracie I thought I would share. Her brothers get a school spotlight every month, and Jake gets a spotlight each month as well, so I have not had a good post for all these pictures! :)

We have actually been able to put Gracie's hair in pigtails more often now. So cute!

Although most days she just yanks out the pigtails and prefers the hat her Daddy got her which says,at "If I'm wearing camo my Daddy dressed me!"

She calls Daddy her "prince". The other day I overheard playtime with the kids. Luke and Ben were princes protecting Gracie (the princess) from the evil dragon (Jacob). Too funny. Poor Jacob gets this title because he finds it extremely funny how fast Gracie runs when he is chasing after her pretending to bite (although sometimes he doesn't pretend)!

Yes, Gracie still loves her sunglasses and boots!

Gracie is a total Daddy's girl!!!!

In other news, Gracie has started working at potty training. For months she would not even go near a potty, but is doing a great job now. We are still a ways away from completely dry diapers, but if we could prevent having three kids in diapers by October, that would be fantastic! Here Gracie is showing off her M&Ms for going potty. Chocolate is a great motivator! :)

Hugging Mommy
Our "no fear" child. This girl can climb and jump with the best of older boys. She has no fear, and it is scary beyond belief for Mommy and Daddy. She is also our walking bruise, from the above mentioned tricks.

These pictures are a bit blurry, as they are from my phone, but you get the idea of what a climber she is! I can't turn away for a second at a park before she is rock climbing or some other crazy stunt!Gracie adores her brothers and loves to be pushed around in whatever box or truck will fit her. Thankfully either Luke or Ben are always willing to oblige. They love it as much as she does.

This is just a random picture of Gracie with her big brothers before church on a particularly cold morning!
She also loves her baby brother something fierce! She is such a little mother. We often have to gently remind her that she is indeed not Jacob's Mommy! They are such good buddies, it is just so much fun to watch how much they enjoy each others company. Yes, being so close in age can make things difficult at times, but they really are inseparable!

Gracie is doing a great job playing school with Mommy. She always asks for her own school time, and she loves to learn all about colors, shapes and letters. The other day she had a book and was tracing her finger under all the words, left to right, pretending to sound them out. When I asked her what she was doing she said "my homework".

One of Gracie's favorite school activities is pillow letters. We make letter shapes out of pillows and books, and then we take turns walking on the letter while saying items that start with that letter.
Okay, this is just one of my favorite pictures. Gracie loves picking out her own clothes and getting dressed. Most of the time she can pick out matching clothes and does a decent job dressing herself with minimal help. The girl does love her accessories though, especially this bow! She picked out this whole outfit herself and was tickled pink that she had found a bow to go with the outfit! :)
These pics are just for a fun recap of the last year. In case you don't know, I love ladybugs and Gracie seems to collect clothes that have ladybugs on them! :)
