More Christmas Fun

This has been a busy month around here. Here are a few of the things we have been up to.

This is one of my favorite pictures of this season so far. Lots of Christmas cuddles under the tree!

Grammy sent us a fun box full of lots of Christmas activities to keep us busy!

Making snowman ornaments for our tree.

Making Christmas pictures with lots of fun stickers.

Caleb being cute and trying to join in with the activities!

Of course we also made lots of Christmas cookies!

It has become a family tradition to make cookies for our neighbors at Christmas. I was so busy this year, I honestly just forgot. Well, my children reminded me that we are in a new neighborhood and we NEEDED to make cookies for our new neighbors!

Last year we ran out of ingredients to make Christmas wreath cookies that my Grammy used to make. We had to use Trix instead of Frosted Flakes, so we called it "Grinch Poop." I had forgotten about this, but once again my children reminded me and begged to make "Grinch Poop" again!

Here are my little helpers getting ready to deliver all the cookies we made to our neighbors!

More on our Christmas celebrations later....Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Welcome Christmas Season!

Here are just a few photos of the beginning of our advent season. It is so much fun to watch the excitement of Christmas on our children's faces.

We were able to visit a lights display with a train ride. Of course, Jacob who is infatuated with trains thought this was the best day ever!

Caleb was a newborn last year, so he really loved all the lights this year.

Uncle Tim and Aunt Gretchen recently sent this horse to our family since their children have outgrown it. Well, our children have discovered he makes a perfect reindeer! :)

Caleb's first discovery of the Christmas tree!

Such wonder, even before the tree is decorated! :)

Of course we don't just pretend to be Santa with reindeer. The kids love acting out the real reason for the season too, complete with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and a shepherd!

Happy Advent season!

Random Photos

Here are just a few random pictures of the kiddos.

Hot chocolate and a family movie!

Jacob is a great little brother. He never fusses when Gracie wants him to dress up with her. :)

Gracie loves this new coat with matching baby coat that she got from Grandma and Grandpa for her birthday!

This little monkey is gonna give me grey hair! He loves to climb! His current favorite activities are climbing upstairs when someone forgets to lock the baby gate. He also loves to pull out all my tupperware and use the drawers as his personal transportation device.

"Look at me Mommy! Look at what a big boy I am!"

"I can reach all kinds of dangerous things like the stove and knives!!"

Life is never dull in the Morgan house. We have also been plugging along with school, although Mommy has been too busy to take pictures! Here is a recent science experiment to learn about the effects of oil to waterproof a bird's feathers.

Now that it is cold, we have actually had quite a bit of activity in our many bird feeders outside. So far the birds like the feeders that are far from the house, not the ones on the window.

The squirrels have also discovered all the tasty treats in our backyard. We love to watch them all!

Birthday Girl

Due to the holidays, this update is a bit belated. We were able to celebrate Gracie's 4th birthday while Kamie's family was here visiting. Gracie wanted to have a princess theme to her birthday.

All the brothers and boy cousins did a great job watching Gracie open her gifts.

Gracie picked out pink cupcakes with bright pink frosting for her special day.

She was worried none of the boys would eat with all the pink....but the sugar overcame the pink and they all dove in!

Then on Friday after Thanksgiving Gracie had her special birthday time with just Mommy and Daddy. Like last year, she asked to have a tea party.

Friday was actually my birthday too, since our birthdays are only five days a part. It was a fun girly way to celebrate! I love that God gave me a little girl that loves pink and frills and tea parties!

With only one daughter, we promised Daddy he just has to go to a tea parlor once a year. He will have five sons to take to Monster Truck ralleys! :)

Happy Birthday sweet baby girl!

Cousin Visit

Recently we had the huge blessing of my sister and her husband visiting with their three sons. Eight children under the age of 8 years old for almost a whole week......equals lots of crazy moments, but great memory building too!

Of course Gracie (as well as the rest of us) loved meeting 8 week old baby Joe!

There were seven boys to play with cars and trucks together!

Luke and Ben loved reading to their younger cousins.

Jacob even read to baby Joe.

Luke and Ben also shared their bikes and helped Jack learn how to ride a bike without training wheels while he was here.

Cousin time

One day we had a chance to visit a small park together.

We were supposed to be able to pick pecans at the park, but we could not find any!

In this bunch of kiddos we have birthdays in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013...and one more coming in 2014! (Seven boys and only one girl!!)

Another day we showed the Meyer family one of our favorite parks. All of the kids in this family ADORE trains, so it was a great day!

The Daddies of this crazy bunch of kids.

These climbing nets were a favorite attraction.

Waiting to ride the water boats.

The weather was beautiful and we had a picnic lunch at the park.

Here we have them in order, (although we are missing baby Joe in the stroller!) Ages 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1!

Jacob just adored baby Joe. He couldn't get enough of him.

Gracie and Jacob got to help Aunt Kamie make cookies.

Baby Joe supervised the cookie making and just looked cute!

It was Aunt Kamie and Uncle Josh's first time to meet Caleb.

It was also our first time to meet Joe!

Here is another early Christmas present for Grammy and Papa, Grandchildren # 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18 and 20 all together.

We love you Kam, Josh, Jack, George and Joe! Thank you so much for coming to visit with us!
