At Christmas the boys each received a fishing pole, with the intent that we would "camp" this year. Well, not only Luke and Ben, but Gracie and Jacob have all enjoyed their "couch fishing" with Daddy all Spring and were ready to try the real thing! We had fun exploring the river near our cabin and "fishing". The kids were disappointed they did not catch anything right away! :)
Here are a few photos of our "little fish" exploring the river!
We didn't catch any fish, but Luke and Gracie did find an interesting red salamander. Later we found the salamander in Luke's nature book and discovered if you touch the skin of the salamander your skin will burn and itch. Thankfully, it was too quick for them to touch. When I read that part to Luke and asked him why we should have known that he said, "Because it was red. Animals are red in nature to warn you to stay away!"
One day Aunt Gentry stayed with Gracie and Jacob taking naps, so Mommy and Daddy could take Luke and Ben on a 2 hour canoe trip. It was a lot of fun, but we don't have pictures because we were too afraid to take the camera! :)

Looks like a great trip! Makes me want to go back to The Blue. Hopefully everyone will be able to go one day. I am sure Aunt Gentry didn't mind a 2 hour nap for herself :)
