Luke's Birthday: Part 2 (Horses)

Last night we went on our family adventure with horses for Luke's birthday. We took our three boys, and left Gracie home with a babysitter since it started way past her bedtime! We have a working horse farm (http://carouselfarmsraleigh.com/) less than 3 miles from our house. During the summer this farm has bull riding and barrel racing every Tuesday night! We have always wanted to go, but have never seemed to make it before now.

We were a little worried about how the boys would react, especially with the bull riding- we thought Luke especially might get scared. The whole time Luke kept saying "why did you think I would be scared? I am enjoying this!!!" They both loved it! During intermission they have all the kids come out on the field and chase a small cow to see who can get a ribbon off it's tail. We didn't know what was going on, so we just kept the boys on our laps. They both are begging to go again sometime cause they want to chase the cow too! (They are also asking for cowboy hats! What have we gotten ourselves into?? :))

We all had a fun time and would love to go back again! On the way home Luke kept saying "that was the best birthday present EVER!" Which is funny because he has only opened one present on his actual birthday, the rest are saved for Sunday when we celebrate!

(PS- I forgot my camera, so although I would like to take credit for the photos, they were just taken off the farm's website!)
