Spotlight: Ben

Now it is Ben's turn for some individual blog attention!

Ben is a rough and tumble boy. He has only two levels, loud and extra loud, and loves things that make more noise than he does! He loves to run, kick, wrestle, tickle, and be on the constant move! He loves all things related to police, firefighters, or construction vehicles! He can do push ups that would impress a marine drill Sgt!!!

Ben also has a very good memory, when he chooses to use it. He is an absolute shark when it comes to games such as "memory" and can beat most adults! He loves to read, but mostly because he enjoys the cuddle time that usually comes with it. He will sometimes chose to sit and read by himself, but more often than not finds some way to make even stationary toys mobile.

Ben can be silly and goofy and his antics can get the whole family in giggle fits. He is also a cuddle bug and loves being hugged! The tears he can produce at a moments notice, at even the slightest reprimand, could win an Oscar! Huge beautiful eyes, with the ability to produce oceans of tears in 2 seconds is a sight to behold!

Our biggest challenge with Ben, as many second born, is helping him to find his own identity outside of his big brother. He repeats just about anything Luke says, to the point that it can be down right maddening! It will be interesting to see the dynamics once Luke goes to Kindergarten next year (if he is not home schooled!!). Ben can be very caring and protective of Gracie, but often lets Luke take over. If Luke is not present, Ben steps up to the plate and is a great big brother.

We love you our tough, yet cuddle bug, second oldest!

Loved the spotlight of Ben! We miss all the loud noises of boys running around. Can't wait to have a loud house.
