Making an edible model of an animal cell with jello, marshmallows and jelly beans! :)
We have continued our study of American History and States. Here the boys are pretending to be with Daniel Boone on the Wilderness Kentucky road.
In art we have studied Winslow Homer and the use of contrast and value.
In science we have been studying sharks and other fish with cartilage skeletons. The whole family was disgusted to learn about the Hagfish which can produce up to two gallons of vile slime when it feels in danger. We made our own version of Hagfish slime!
When we leaned about how sharks can sense electrical currents we did a study to see if fresh or salt water was a better conductor of electricity.
Here are the little ones playing with our light table. Aunt Kamie sent us plexiglass to cover our train table. We added a string of Christmas lights and had an instant hit!
This week we have started one of our all time favorite read aloud books, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!! We have never seen the oldest four so engrossed in a story. Love it!
