A Visit with Grammy

God's timing is perfect! When my Mom planned to come visit and help with the arrival of Isaac, we decided to have her come two weeks before our due date. Caleb was two weeks early, so we thought there was a good chance Isaac would arrive early as well. Well, Isaac arrived less than 12 hours after Grammy's flight landed at the airport! Like I said, God's timing is perfect. Grammy had a short sleep and enough time to hug and kiss on everyone and learn the morning routine before we were on our way to the hospital!

We know Grammy has so many responsibilities still at home, but we are ever grateful for the sacrifice of two weeks she gave to serve our growing family!

Grammy got lots of time to hug and cuddle her grandbabies # 7, 8, 12, 15, 18, and 23!

Grammy helped every morning with the morning routine so Mommy could get a few extra moment of much needed sleep. Grammy even had time to help fix Gracie's doll's hair. (A house of five brothers does not bode well for a doll's hair, we will leave it at that!)

Grammy made meals, played games, read books, helped with dishes and laundry and everything else imaginable to keep our house running while I was in the hospital or taking care of Isaac. It was so nice to have both my Hubby and my Mom helping me in so many ways! With Grammy in town, Jeff was able to drive us to our many postpartum bili check appointments without having to take all the kids! We even managed to have a belated anniversary date (with Isaac of course!)

Of course Grammy also tried to soak up as many newborn snuggles as possible! We tease Grammy because almost all of her visits to us have revolved around a new child/children. We hope that she will keep visiting us when our family is complete! :)

Grammy even got to play baseball outside with the oldest five when we had a few warm afternoons.

Grammy also helped us take some new family photos while she was here.

We love you Grammy. We miss you so much already and hate that we have to share you with the rest of the family!
