Gracie's Birth Day!
One year!
2 Years!
We actually celebrated her birthday last weekend when grandparents were visiting. Last year we planned themed parties for the kids. This year, Jeff and I have decided to switch it up. For each child's birthday, we are going to take them on a special lunch date of their own. Mommy and Daddy were able to take Gracie to a special lunch at the Olde English Tea Room and Shoppe. It was Gracie's first "tea party."
What a joy it is to experience things through the eyes of our daughter. She adds such a beauty and spunk to our lives. She is witty and bright, and incredibly loving. She loves all things that are pink or have to do with babies. She is a little mother, not only to her four brothers, but to any small child at a park or play area. She loves to pray. She loves to read Bible stories, but makes us read the story of baby Moses, baby Isaac, or baby Jesus over and over since she loves babies so much! She loves to be held by Daddy, or be goofy with her Daddy. She loves to give her brothers a hard time, and she loves to run and be wild and crazy with them as well. She loves to cuddle and read with her Mommy.
For her birthday, Gracie specifically told us that she wanted a necklace. So, Daddy and Mommy were able to find a special princess necklace for our special princess. Our prayer is that she would continue to learn and grow to understand how her loving heavenly Father is her King.
Thank you Lord, for bringing this beautiful treasure into our family three years ago .
Later that evening we had a small family party to open gifts and eat cake. This year Avery and Rebekah were able to join us with their Mommy and Daddy!
Of course, what else but a pink cake!
It is funny to watch how in the midst of so many brothers, Gracie is the ultimate of frills and all things girly. But don't let her fool you....she can hold her own with these boys and is tough as nails!
While Gracie received many special gifts, she had such a blast with her gift from Andy, Emily, Avery and Bekah. They gave her a gift card for Build a Bear! We had never been there before, so it was a really fun experience. Gracie loved it! Thank you sweet friends for such a thoughtful and fun gift!
We love you Gracie-girl!!
