He is Risen.....He is Risen Indeed!!!

Easter is very likely our favorite holiday, because it happens to be the most special day of the year to celebrate!

On the way to church this morning, Luke summed up why it is so important.
The conversation went something like this:

Mommy: "Luke....where are we going this morning?"
Luke: "Umm.....chuch!"
Daddy: "Why do we go to church? Who do we learn about?"
Luke (with Ben chiming in too): "Jesus!"
Mommy: "Who is Jesus?"
Luke: "Baby Jesus....ride on a Donkey, born as God" (this we learned at Christmas time...)
Daddy: "What else Luke?"
Luke and Ben: "Honanna!!!!" (This we learned last Sunday, it is a 2 year old's rendition of Hosanna on Palm Sunday, always said with arms raised above head)
Mommy and Daddy: "What else Luke and Ben?"
Luke: "They hurt Jesus, sad, very sad, cry, hands and feet, cross, hurt Jesus, sad."
Mommy and Daddy: "What else Luke?"
Luke: "He's alive!!!"
Mommy and Daddy: "Right He is alive!"

Thank you Lord for such a special reason to celebrate!

Here are a few pictures of our morning after we came home from church. The boys had a blast hunting Easter eggs, and discovering goodies in their Easter baskets!

We hope that you have had a special day celebrating our risen Lord too!
Love,

Happy Resurrection Day! What JOY it brings my heart to know you are raising up your precious sons with a foundation of their Lord as reason to celebrate! May I say, that my Grandsons are quite handsome in their suits and I can't wait to show them off at the wedding in May! Continue to build your family memories and traditions...I love and miss you all!
Always, Mom...Gram
