Christmas 2015 Updates

Here is a quick Christmas 2015 catch up!

Since we have spent the year studying other countries and cultures we had a brief unit study of Christmas around the world. I surprised the kids by wrapping up 25 library books that were Christmas stories from around the world. The "gifts" were numbered and we read the different stories after unwrapping each night. It was a fun take on an advent tradition.

Part of our Christmas included a trip to VA with a visit to the Morgan side of the family. Since the kids are very interested in the military lately we took them to an Air and Space museum and the Air Force base where I used to work.

It was only 10+ years ago that Jeff and I got married at this Air Force chapel! How our family has grown!

Of course the two highlights of the trip to base were watching the jets take off and land, and watching Mommy still get saluted while entering base! :) Our children were absolutely enthralled with the flight line!

It was a quick visit, but fun to be with family for a Christmas visit.

More about our family Christmas to come!
