Dear Family and Friends-
After so many months of waiting it is so hard to even begin to describe what today was like. Unfortunatly we don't have a lot of pictures either, because everything happened in such a blur of activity there was hardly time for video or pictures. So we are trying to soak up as much as we can in our memory to share with Luke and Ben some day. Don't worry though we do have plenty of pictures of them that we will be able to share once they are home with us!
At noon today a driver picked us up and took us to the CWA foster home. The workers were very nice and we asked a few questions. They told us that Luke is very shy, which we soon found out. Ben on the other hand is a chatter bug! It is almost impossible to understand the depth of emotion and love for these little boys who have grown in our hearts over the last few months, it is surreal.
We have both taken to parenting better than we could have ever imagined! You should see Jeff with diapers and a bottle, he is a pro!! In fact, Luke has become quite a Daddy's man, and he clings to him. Ben is a cuddler and a drooler (He and Miss Clara will fit in fine together!!). Both boys love to just curl up in our necks and sleep. They are amazing eaters, and have taken anything and everything that we give them! They are currently crashed out in their cribs, and Dad is on watch while I am downstairs writing this.
We did pretty good with clothes, the sizes we brought are perfect. Ben wears a 12-18mo. and Luke wears 18-24. The shoes we brought were too big, but we can't be perfect! :) Both boys are smaller than we imagined, but very healthy looking. Luke can walk, but he prefers to be held by Daddy. Ben can crawl and scoot like a champion, and will walk holding onto our hands.
That is the news for today. Words just aren't even enough to describe the joy that both Jeff and I are feeling today. God is so good, He has done so much in our lives to bring the four of us together, it is hard to even put it into words. We are now a family of four!!!!
Thank you for our continued prayers. We are so grateful for you! Praise God as well, my asthma has been doing phenomenal and has not been an issue at all despite the pollution and burning trash. Ethiopia is such an amazing country, so full of diversity, such beautiful people, yet such harsh conditions. Please keep praying. Tomorrow is our embassy date to officially get the boys visas to come to the states!
Believing Him,
Jeff, Meredith, Luke and Ben

So happy for you guys! You are going to have your hands full :) Especially on the trip home-- yikes! I'm jealous of your cuddlers-- my first was too independant. I'm hoping that my little guy will like to snuggle to sleep on me :)
Praise the Lord for your new family!
I am so happy for you guys. I can't wait to meet my new nephews. I love them already!
love you,
Reagan
Omigosh, we are so happy for you guys. It's such a neat thing to see your patience and prayers and hopes finally come to fruition. You two will be fantastic parents, and when you come to AZ I'll have to stop by and visit!! We'll be praying for a safe journey home. We love you guys.
