This year our adoption anniversary happened to fall right in the middle of Easter weekend. Since Mommy was so sick, thanks to Baby #5, and the Easter weekend was so packed we decided to celebrate a little later. Every year in the past we have taken the boys to an Ethiopian restaurant to celebrate. This year we let them choose. They have been begging to try out one of our favorite restaurants, which is a Japanese sushi and hibachi restaurant, Kanki! The boys chose that without hesitation, and were so excited! The whole family had a wonderful evening! To make it even better, when another group was seated next to us around the hibachi grill, the lady sitting next to Luke leaned over and asked if Luke and Ben were from Ethiopia. She was Ethiopian herself, and we had a wonderful meal enjoying talking to her and getting to know her!
Here are a few pictures of our evening. All the kids have been playing hibachi chef since our dinner!
Luke and Ben both LOVE sushi. Look what a pro Ben is at eating it!
Our normally talkative Luke was so quiet, he was just mesmerized by all that was going on.
As a special gift, we found an Ethiopian cookbook. The boys love it and can't wait to learn how to make some Ethiopian dishes!
Thank you Lord for four years with our precious sons. You knew exactly what this family needed, and our lives would not be the same without them.

How special! Wish we could be there to join in on some of these special celebrations! Today, Jack and I found a SIM Kids site (www.simkids.org) and learned a little about Ethiopia...and even found Jack and George's names in Amharic!! Love you guys!
We have all been so blessed to have Luke and Ben be a part of our family! We love you guys so much!
