Dearest Family and Friends-
Thank you so much for joining us in this amazing journey. We received word yesterday, Thursday March 6, 2008, that we are officially the parent's of two precious baby boys. Luke and Benjamin are perfect gifts from our heavenly father, who is the same yesterday, today and forever. Not only do we get to learn on a deeper level about aspects of God's characteristics as our Father, we get the unique priviledge to have an intimate knowledge of what it means to be adopted sons into His Kingdom. "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the one he loves." Eph 1:4-6
To answer the obvious question... "When will you travel to bring them home?" Our best guess is between 4-8 weeks from now. At this point there is paperwork that is accomplished in Ethiopia to put our names on Luke and Ben's Ethiopian birth certificates. Once that is done, they can get passports and apply for American visas and we are given an U.S Embassy Appointment in Ethiopia. Then we can start packing our bags and making travel arrangements!
Please continue to pray for our sons. Pray that they would be healthy, and that all the paperwork would flow smoothly without any delays. In all things, please just pray that God would continue to have His will accomplished in our lives, and His perfect timing. God has taught, and is continuing to teach us so much about Himself through this journey. Our prayer as a family is that God would be glorified, and that those around us would be drawn closer to Him through this journey with us!
